AU Class: Part 1

I’m lucky enough to be teaching another class at Autodesk University this year.  If you’ve never been to AU, I would highly recommend going.  It’s a great place to network and you can learn a lot or a little, it’s really up to you.  Speaking of my class, I think it’s something that people can really use.  Feel free to sign up for it, there is still room.

Read on to find out more…

The class is “CI5187-Civil Surface Base Plan: Tips and Tricks”.  Today, I will discuss the first part of the class; Parcels.

For a typical subdivision, and of course other projects, you will have parcels.  I will be discussing how to deal with them and show some tips.  Things like:

  • Site Geometry:  clean up your linework BEFORE you ever turn them into Parcels.
  • Stylizing your parcels:  how to show your outer Parcel boundary in one style and the inner Parcels in another.
  • Drawing Management:  how to get your Parcels into your plot sheets.

Stay tuned for more information in the days to come.
