Preparing for AU 2009

I don’t know what it is about AU but I love it. The chance to be in a common area with 10,000 other geeks is interesting to say the least. You can talk all about AutoCAD and people don’t look at you like you’re weird – well not too much anyway.

I will be out of the country for this coming AU so will be missing out. I am counting on all of you heckling James as much as possible for me. 🙂

Want to find out which classes James (and others) will be teaching and what classes are going to be offered this year?

Today, they have released the speaker list for AU. You can find out who is doing what by going to the PDF here. It is put in order of speaker (it is from the AU Speaker blog) so it is not the easiest read (James is near the end). Disclaimer – Keep in mind they label this as a “Preliminary Schedule”.

Make sure you are ready on AUGUST 5. That is when the registration goes live.

Anyone want to guess whether this year registration goes off without a hitch??

  1. I haven’t seen anything about early registration – is that August 5th or is early registration before that? Is AUGI giving out early registration? Nowhere on the AU site does it say anything about registration that I can find.

I just got off the phone with the people at AU registration and Aug 5 is early (priority) registration for subscription members. If you are not on subscription you have to wait until Aug 12.
