EE Free Training Outreach a Big Success

If you are a frequent (or semi-frequent) visitor to Civil3D.com, you are probably aware of the EE Free Training Outreach we launched at the beginning of March 2009. Since our launch, several other organizations have launched similar initiatives, including Autodesk, Bentley and others.

To date the outreach has been a huge success and I thought I’d share some stats:

  1. Nearly 300 displaced users have requested training
  2. Over 550 free class seats have been used.
  3. Response has been overwhelmingly positive. Below are some quotes from attendees:

“The site design seminar was excellent.  <the instructor> kept me engaged in the exercises and stayed focused on getting through the basic exercises.”

“I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to attend the three training classes under the Engineered Efficiency unemployed assistance program. I enjoyed the classes and learned quite a bit. I found the Site Development classes especially useful in learning techniques not found in most books.”

“I finished the Core Concepts class.  It was EXCELLENT!!!  …. I feel much more confident with Civil 3D and have used the courseware to review, experiment and learn!”

“I think this is a really great thing that EE is offering. I hope … that it helps raise the level of knowledge for technicians, designers, and engineers alike. Bravo to EE for stepping up to the plate on this one.”
