It has always been a recommended practice of mine to build as little of your corridor as possible when working on it. This helps with drawing performance and also helps to simplify your view of the model so you can keep things straight more easily. Civil 3D 2010 makes this easier to do through the new Isolate Region command. See how after the jump.
