How Google Earth (Really) Works.

This will be a very short post.  The Google Earth feature in Civil 3D has gotten a lot (too much IMO) attention lately. So what to do? Join ’em! I just read an interesting article about Google Earth and how it works. The article has nothing to do with Civil 3D, but you may find it interesting, nonetheless. You can check it out by following this link.

Enjoy!

Mark, There was a post on here a while back that spoke of importing Google Earth Surfaces in to C3D. It mentioned that we needed to change the rows and columns to 70 in stead of 100 in both the ImportGEData and ImportGESurface commands through the settings in ToolSpace.. I can’t seem to find the post now, however I now have the new GoogleEarth and have changed my rows and columns to 70 and C3D is still locking up… Was the post removed because of new problems arising? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated..
