Remembering Your Command Preferences

Every time you execute a Civil 3D command, for example “Create Alignment by Layout”, you get a dialog box where you make some choices. If you wanted the settings you choose to “stick” so that next time you make an alignment it remembers your preferences, you can change the Command Settings.

If you go into your Drawing Settings-Ambient Settings and toggle “Save Command Changes to Settings” to YES, every time you chose your preferences, they will be remembered.

In my alignment example, it will remember what Site, Alignment Style, Label Set, etc.

There’s, uh, an image above the “more” tag here 😉

Sorry, I was feeling funny. And now I wish I’d had my laptop today so I could have “worked” through a few of those meetings as well…
