Marking Surface Problems with a Sphere

I always rotate my Surfaces into isometric view so that I can make sure that everything looks right.  In Land Desktop, I would change the color of any blown triangles, so that when I went back into plan view, I could see which points, breaklines or other elements might be causing the problem.

Civil 3D Surfaces don’t let you change the color of individual triangles, so someone on the DG gave me this suggestion- use a sphere.

The AutoCAD sphere works really well- it gives me a clear mark visible in both 3D and plan, and I can actually snap it to the problem elevation exactly.
